The focus of the Girls’ Education project is to bring and keep girls in school with funding from IBIS as part of its Africa Poverty program. The project aims to strengthen the voice of civil society on issues that have a direct impact on poverty and justice through assistance to South-South and North-North alliances for advocacy at international, regional and national levels.
The target countries for 2010 were Liberia and Sierra Leone. The main activities are to help the coalition complete their research on poverty, and also to finalize the design and perfect the advocacy part of the project by involving parliamentarians and the media in key findings.
